Start with the official photo rules
Requirements depend on the country, issuing authority and application method. Check dimensions, background colour, pose, eye height, digital format and other instructions in the current official guide.
Position the subject carefully
Choose a suitable original and drag or adjust the crop. Paperlane can change brightness and contrast, but it does not remove image backgrounds or certify biometric compliance.
Print without scaling
For a paper submission, select the A4 sheet option and print at 100% or actual size. Measure a printed sample with a ruler before cutting copies.
