UPLOAD LIMITS

How to try reducing a PDF to 200 KB

Make a careful attempt at a strict upload limit without promising a fixed result.

Check what your file contains

Open the upload instructions and confirm whether the size limit applies to each individual document. Note whether the file must keep selectable text or original form fields, since an image-based copy does not preserve them.

Try an image-based target

Start with lossless compression to keep the original structure. If your document is mostly scans and image compression is acceptable, select Image compression, then choose the 200 KB target. The compressor can try smaller settings, but it cannot guarantee the result for every file.

Review the final PDF

Compare the resulting byte count with the portal limit and zoom in on names, dates, and signatures. If you cannot read the result, do not submit it. Consider rescanning at a reasonable resolution or splitting the document if the destination allows multiple attachments.
